Frequently Asked Questions about bathtub refinishing

Following the proper care and maintenance recommendations we provide you may reasonably expect 10-20 years from our finishes. 

Every job is unique but depending on its condition the average job is completed usually within 4-6 hours.

It is best to wait at least 36 hours… but ask your technician about our ‘quick’ cure if you need it back in service  sooner!

Unfortunately…yes. We take extreme precautions to minimize the smell from the materials. Residual odors should fade and dissipate fully within 24 hours.

We will need to strip it down to the original surface and start from scratch. The additional charges are based on the extra time required for the stripping process and that can sometimes take up to an additional 3 hours for the process.

Yes  and we recommend it. Some tubs are grouted in and do not need re-caulking and fiberglass fixtures with built in surrounds do not require re-caulking. We use a premium acrylic latex mo ld resistance high gloss caulk. Be aware caulking a gap larger than 3/8 inch should probably be re-grouted; caulking a gap that large can show shrinkage after a month or so.

We provide you with maintenance instructions of what is best to use to clean and help protect your new finish. Keep in mind it will always be best to use a foam cleaner and avoid abrasive cleansers.

We offer an industry leading warranty of one (1) year. The warranty covers all material failure or manufacturing defects not caused by the customer by mistreatment of the refinished surface. * Beware of companies offering full coverage warranties longer than one year, chances are they are not planning on remaining in business long enough to honor it!
